The Dr. Will Show - Professional Associations in K12 with Layla Allahverdi

On today's episode, I speak with Layla Allahverdi, from ASCD about professional associations in K-12 education.

Layla Allahverdi is an educator advocate and program manager for ASCD Affiliates, Emerging Leaders, Connected Communities, Professional Interest Communities, and Student Chapters. These ASCD constituent programs cultivate and enhance the leadership capacity of educators, at all levels, to support the whole child and to elevate the profession. She also serves on a team that supports Teach to Lead, an initiative jointly convened by ASCD, the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards, and the U.S. Department of Education.
Layla earned her master’s degree in International Education and Training at American University in Washington, DC.
